  • 4 Ripe Plantain

  • Preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Peel the ripe plantains and slice them into uniform rounds or diagonal pieces, depending on your preference.
  • Line the baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Place the sliced plantains in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure to leave space between each piece.
  • Using the cooking spray, lightly coat the tops of the plantains with a thin layer of oil. Also use a basking brush to apply the oil evenly over the sliced plantains.
  • Optional Seasoning: For a savory twist, sprinkle the plantains with a pinch of sea salt before baking. Alternatively, for a hint of sweetness, dust them with a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
  • Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the plantains for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender. Be sure to check on them periodically to prevent burning.
  • Flip each piece of plantain and return back to the oven to bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Once the plantains are baked to perfection, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
